The ImageSorter software is free. At the moment there is a version for Windows and Mac OS X (Intel and PPC).

Newer versions of ImageSorter (V3 and V4 beta) are available at www.pixolution.de

On Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 or Windows Vista unpack the zip-File and start the setup file. In most cases, this is all you have to do. If ImageSorter fails to start after this (a message box will be shown), please follow the instructions given in “install_xp.txt”.

On Windows 2000, simply start the setup file to install ImageSorter.

On Mac OS X, unpack the zip-File. All you need to do to launch the application, is to start “ImageSorter”. If you do have administrator-privileges, we encourage you to copy the file to “Applications”.

ImageSorter works nicely with sets from 200 to aproximately 5000 images. Sorting only few images does not make much sense in most cases.

If you like to have a test set of images, you can download the following archive: sampleImages.zip You can extract the archive everywhere you like in your filesystem. You will need an archive program like WinRar or the free 7-Zip.

The archive contains a folder with 610 photos (very small resolution). You can open this folder using the ImageSorter. Then, all photos are displayed sorted by their color structure.
